About the practice
This practice first opened in 1978 by husband and wife, Dr.
Jerry Chan and Dr.
Lisa Moon.
For over 40 years, the practice has provided high-quality vision and eye health care to residents of Nevada County, and is one of the largest optometric groups in the area.
Conveniently located near Highway 20, this practice offers a full-scope of optometric services and specializes in ocular disease management, low vision, and contact lenses.
With plans for the founders daughter, Dr.
Tiffany Chan, to take over the practice in 2020, Chan Family Vision Care is looking to add an associate OD to the staff of four providers and 12 employees.
As a well-respected business in the community, this practice focuses on providing dedicated patient-centered care.
Fully suited with top-of-the-line optical equipment, this practice includes Optos, OCT, TearLab, Humphrey visual field, anterior segment camera, and electronic refractors.
Cloud-based software enables electronic medical records and charting from anywhere.
The office is warm, comfortable, and welcoming, inviting patients to shop top-brand eyewear in a casual setting plus an in-office lab provides the convenience of same-day lenses.
About the opening
The practice is seeking a part-time OR full-time Associate Doctor of Optometry to provide high-quality care for patients of all ages, insurances, and visual/medical diagnoses.
In this role, you ll perform in-depth eye exams for vision and ocular health and evaluate patients for contact lenses.
The current office hours are 8:
00 a.
m.
to 5:
00 p.
m.
Monday through Friday.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, strong communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion for patient health and safety.
The ideal candidate will be a friendly and service-oriented team builder with a talent for quick learning and innovative application.
Additionally, the minimum qualifications include:
- Doctor of Optometry license in the state of California
- Glaucoma certification
- Experience preferred, but new grads will be considered
