The Company Globe 24-7 in partnership with their client in Nevada, United States is in search of a Open Pit Engineering Superintendent.
ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate active participation in the management of the operation to ensure that health and safety, environmental, production, cost and cash flow targets are achievedBe responsible for strategic, long- and short-range mine planning, and geotechnical engineering as well collaborating with ore control and geologyManage many professionals including surveyors and engineers which provide technical support for the 400,000
tons per day open pit operationCollaborate, coordinate, and communicate with other site divisions as well as other Barrick Technical Services groupsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering or related degree requiredMinimum ten (10) years of mining experience in progressive supervisory or technical roles requiredTwo (2) years of experience in a project management role preferredStrong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, risk analysis, problem solving, and analytical skills requiredExcellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, MS Outlook requiredFamiliarity and/or experience with Oracle preferredExperience in engineering software (AutoCAD, Whittle) requiredCapability to lead, mentor, and develop technical staff requiredCompetence in mine economics, evaluation techniques, and budgeting for mine operations requiredAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing requiredProven safe work record requiredAbility to effectively perform all functions of this role requiredWhat We Can Offer YouA comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.
